Business, hospitality and shop keepers’ English
Are you too busy to attend an English language course twice a week, but you need to know English for work? Finally there are courses available to give you a hand in the workplace and that require a commitment of only one, two-hour class per week. Each of our courses are designed for a specific professional sector. The purpose of the course is to help you communicate with your customers and respond to their needs, through grammar, vocabulary and sector specific terminology, according to the students in the group. All of the courses focus on being able to speak and understand the language and for this reason, as with all our courses at English World, they are taught by native English speakers who also have experience in teaching Business English. Students will be divided into groups according to their levels.
The business English course may also consist of: communicating by phone with clients and colleagues, taking part in meetings, preparing presentations, drafting and understanding emails, reports and other correspondence. The course will take place from 6 to 8pm, but other times are also possible in the morning and at lunch time if required.
English for the hotel and catering industry may include: taking orders and describing food, talking about wine, handling complaints, taking reservations and giving information. The course will take place in the morning but other times may be available if there is sufficient domand.
