An Introduction to the Language of Drawing
The school year is coming to an end but we will be staying here until the end of July with lots more special events and courses for you. One of these is a summer evening with Christine: an English artist and art teacher who will be returning to Italy at the end of June, and will be our guest on Tuesday 9th July.
We are delighted that she is returning after the success this year of our brief ‘taster’ course for ‘Art Lovers’, where Christine ran the last of three short meetings, and in which we spoke about the various artist materials used when creating works of art. Then the participants experimented with different techniques in order to appreciate art in a new way. For some of the people present, this was the first time as an adult that they had painted or drawn, and the experience was well received by everybody. For this reason we have decided to present another special evening in which Christine would like to emphasize the link with the language of art and English, being that the majority of the people who frequent the courses speak English as a second language, so conversation will be a fundamental part of the evening as well as drawing.
The most important themes of the evening will be: drawing from the inside out, using a couple of very simple objects and all will be explained on the evening, drawing with your less dominant hand and concentrating on the structure of the object more than on its appearance. If this has made you curious to know more and you have at least a B2 level of English, contact us and book yourself a place.
We look forward to hearing from you!
