Mother’s Day Workshop 2019
May has arrived and life has returned to normal at English World after the Easter break, and we are ready with new events. The reception is full of hanging butterflies and banners wishing all mums a wonderful day for their imminent festival, which here in Italy takes place on Sunday 12th May as it does in the United States. In England the date is much earlier. This year it took place on 31st March. Talking of mothers, we are all waiting for Meghan, the American wife of Prince Harry, to give birth. Will it be a boy or a girl? We are currently running a competition at the school in which the students can guess the sex of the baby and win a great prize if they are the chosen winner. The money that we collect from the competition will be donated to the local charity Calcit.
At the school we have a wonderful Mother’s Day workshop for our children: don’t forget to hurry and book a place for your child for Saturday 11th May, from 10 to 11am, by popping in to the reception and leaving the participation fee. This year there are small wooden boxes to decorate using the technique of decoupage, with lots of flowers, jewels, bows and stickers and lots of other adorable decorations with which to create a beautiful personalized gift for mum to cherish.
We’ll see you there!
